Welcome back to your Monday briefing!

Here’s your dose of inspiration - 5 viral hits to know about today:

How to grab attention from other companies 101

Bimbo Bakeries launched ads for a new bread with bigger slices.

But… they don’t show the bread at all:

They show empty cheese containers, jam jars, cold cuts.

The logic: bigger bread = you finish these faster.

So instead of advertising bread, they advertise the stuff people put ON bread.

That’s genius. The cheese and jam companies might actually share these ads because it helps their sales too.

This creates automatic viral amplification. When you feature other brands and credit them for benefiting from your success → they have every reason to share your content. You get distribution to their customer base without partnerships. They get free promotion.

Win-win.

My take: Find tools your customers need MORE of when they use your product successfully, then create “You’re Welcome” campaigns featuring those brands.

For example 👇

  1. Zoom could feature a presentation tool (“You’re welcome PowerPoint - more screen shares means more presentations”).

  2. Salesforce could feature an emailing service (“You’re welcome Mailchimp - more leads means more emails to send”).

This is the BEST ad I’ve ever seen

One Instagram comment perfectly captured what I was thinking:

Here’s the ad that got that response - and why it went crazy viral this week.
