That's a very good question! Substack does not have this capability at the moment (all you can do is change the default "No thanks" label to "Maybe later" on your welcome page - but you can't add the reminder step afterwards). If you have a personal website built elsewhere, e.g. Wix or Wordpress, then it can be done.

This was fun to read — thanks for sharing! Applying this somewhat to Substack, I wonder if I should change my welcome button from “Not right now” to “Maybe later”. I like the psychology behind maybe. It sounds more positive.

I recommend having a "No" (or X) button regardless. The "Maybe Later" button is an extra one.
