Last year, I launched this newsletter on Product Hunt and the results SHOCKED me:
#1 Product of the Day
#1 Product of the Week
#1 Product of the Month
5,600+ new subscribers almost overnight
Not bad for a simple newsletter, right?
The 1,000āupvote trap šØ
If youāre not familiar with Product Hunt, itās the internetās biggest daily talent show. Each day starts at 12:01 AM PT, and creators compete for the coveted ā#1 Product of the Dayā spot. The most upvoted products win and compete for weekly and monthly awards too.
I already shared my DM strategy for guaranteeing upvotes.
But hereās what nobody tells you: you can get 1,000+ upvotes in 2025 and still fail miserably.
Why? Because upvotes mean nothing if your product doesnāt get āfeaturedā on the homepage first.
The invisible Product Hunt wall š§±
Something frustrating is happening on Product Hunt lately.
Makers spend WEEKS preparing for their launch, get hundreds of supporters, get tons of upvotes... and then discover their product isnāt even featured on the homepage (a.k.a. the āFeaturedā section).
If youāre not āFeaturedā ā you donāt make it to the homepage.
This means zero visibility, zero traffic, zero chance of winning.
The Product Hunt team manually decides which products make it to the homepage, and their filtering has gotten ruthlessly selective in 2025.
The backlash grew so intense that their official account had to address it directly:
According to them, products are evaluated on four factors:
Useful: how practical and beneficial is the product?
Novel: how innovative or unique is the approach?
High-craft: how well-designed and polished is it?
Creative: how fun, engaging, or imaginative is it?
This whole mess started because Product Hunt became too popular. With thousands of daily visitors, everyone wants a piece of the pie.
But Iāve discovered something powerful š
You donāt really need to score perfectly on all 4 factors to get āfeaturedā.
Iāve analyzed hundreds of launches over months - what gets featured vs what gets buried - and found a foolproof framework to guarantee your product makes it to the homepage.
This is NOT theory. Iāve tested it with my own launches and seen it work for dozens of other products.
Let me show you how to beat the system. š„
